If there are small children in your immediate family or you have close friends that do, those children should be incorporated into your wedding in some small way.  Having a child friendly wedding is something that takes stress away from the parents and allows the whole family to have a great time.

One way to ensure that kids have a good time is to accept them in the wedding as helpers who can do important tasks. Handing things out, fetching special items for presentation, or announcing important guests as they come at the reception.

Kid friendly weddings also demand a little extra planning when it comes to table settings and menus.

Skip the regular table-cloth and ask your local butcher for a roll of sturdy paper. Giving children Crayons or markers with their place setting will keep them busy for hours and provide your with a great keepsake after they are finished "designing"

For centerpieces at a kid friendly wedding, look to fun and easy games, that will keep young and old hands alike busy. Games like Hungry Hippo, Jenga, or Kerplunk, act as creative centerpieces that also can keep kids happy while they await for their food.

Don't forget your wedding favors. Even these can take after the pattern of your other kid friendly activities, from little packages of playdough, to bubbles, and/or crayons, which will let your younger guests to sign your guestbook in their own special way.
